How to get started

Getting started with Pingdom GIGRIB is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.

  1. Create a Pingdom GIGRIB user.
  2. Download and install the GIGRIB client and log it in with your GIGRIB user.
  3. Add the websites you want checked in the Pingdom GIGRIB control panel.

How to install the GIGRIB client

  1. First download the Pingdom GIGRIB client installer.
  2. Locate the file on your PC and double-click it to start the installation.
  3. When the installation has finished, right-click the Pingdom GIGRIB icon in the Windows task bar and select “Settings...”

  4. Enter your Pingdom GIGRIB username in the text box highlighted in the image below. (You received this username and its password in an email when you created your Pingdom GIGRIB user.)

    Note: If you do not have a Pingdom GIGRIB username, you need to create one. This is easily done for free on our sign-up page.
  5. The Pingdom GIGRIB client will then connect to the GIGRIB network and ask for your password. Type in the password and click OK.

  6. Now you are ready to add the sites you want to monitor. You do this by logging in to uptime.pingdom.com and go to the My checked sites page.

Please note! Your client needs to log in with your Pingdom GIGRIB username. Otherwise it will be “anonymous” and the GIGRIB network will not know that you are contributing, so it will not monitor the websites you add
